Thanks for stoppin' through. It's clear that the market has turned up the volume on capitalism. People are in the business of making Comics, to make money. It might not be the single driver in why Comics are produced today, but, as we've said before in the podcast on collecting Comics, capitalism is fair play. The impact to the Comics industry is significant. There is some garbage out there fo sho, but amongst that are also some rare Comics gems. In the case of Civil War, you're running up against speculators who are driving the cost up on the issues -- wait for the reprints if you can't afford the skyrocketing prices. Me been a high school kid and not having much money I barley buy comics but when I find something I like I stay with it and follow it’s run. I, just getting into comics don’t know much but the basics and I heard of “civil war” so I thought I give it a chance. I get the fist issue for $5 in my local comic shop and $5 seemed a bit much but I said what the hell. With the fist issue I fell in love so I went back got the second issue for $7 I thought it was worth it and when I went to get the third I find for some reason it’s around $18 and being broke I didn’t get it and I still haven’t and won’t. for something that came out a few weeks ago and it’s so much it just turned me off to comics a bit. I wanted to know what you though about this affection new reader that get into comics and find that so many books are that expensive. P.S I looked around and I couldn’t find it cheaper but the internet and I would get it from there but I don’t have access to a credit card. Please tell your herald not to do that again, you're missing out on 50% of the power that one speaker could have and it makes it too hard to listen to in the car. Blue Beetle has been pretty interesting, the last issue seemed to slow down a bit. I'm actually interested in 52 even though it's filled with 3rd rate loser characters... I checked out a couple of issues of Blue Beetle and think it has potential; the magic heavy storyline wasn't my flavor but I could see getting down with the sci-fi line better --- I'm wanting more <b>hero</b> aspect to it once the main character accepts who and what he's become. You think black characters are tough? Try Jewish characters. I can name a few and I've been really digging to scrounge a list together. My pick for stuff I'm not sure everyone's reading? Blue Beetle, baby. Keith Giffen has it down. Cully Hamner doing some very stylized art which is perfect for the series. It started off as a magic heavy story but last issue they dropped a scif-fi bomb on poor Blue. I really miss Ted but so far this has been a real treat.
