Always Bet on Bahlactus

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

I’m not dead. Not by any stretch of the mentals. Always bet on Bahlactus! I’m just minus one organ since I had surgery on Friday morning. They kept me overnight and I didn’t get home until Saturday. This coming week I’ll be devouring a solid stack of Comics while I recover at home (when I’m conscious enough and have actual moments of clarity). There won’t be a lot of new Comics clue here until my status is more on point. I will be droppin’ a hot new issue of Comicazi this week and believe me when I say Comicazi Issue No.6 is not to be missed. For now I’m keepin’ it tight and working on a quick recovery. Stay tuned. SHOUT OUT! MARVEL’s Guiding Light

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

In one of the most busted crossovers MARVEL will ever pull in the history of Comics creation, the New Avengers will be crossing over with the daytime soap opera, Guiding Light. You know what, I can’t lend any more words to this joint. Read the Miami Herald article. Bahlactus has spoken.

SHOUT OUT! CBR’s All Time Favorite Artist

Friday, October 20th, 2006

The cats over at Comic Book Resources (CBR) have crafted a list of the top 50 all time favorite artists in the Comics industry. Today they finally dropped some science on who their top two pics were. Both of them are pretty solid in terms of standings and I respect their placement in the list 100%. Sadly, my favorite artist, Leinil Francis Yu was not tagged as one of the 50 most influential artists of all time (isn’t that what this joint implies?), but, some of my other favorites (Coipel, JR JR, Turner, Lee, Starlin) were listed. Get down with the article over at CBR.com.

SHOUT OUT! All New Heroes Netcast: The 9th

Monday, October 16th, 2006

A couple of months back I hit you with some Hero Revelations about a new show on NBC called Heroes. The show is hot and I’m pretty confident in saying that Lost has a solid competitor for best in show on television. The official Heroes fanstite, 9th Wonders was created for fans to get some clue from the creators and writers of the show, rap in the forums, etc, etc. Out of that has sprung a tight weekly netcast dubbed The 9th and is crafted by fans for the fans. It’s over at Heroescast.com and their first episode drops science on the first three weeks of Heroes and what’s been poppin’ in the storyline. Get down with The 9th over at Heroescast.com — tell them I sent you! Bahlactus has spoken.
