Without your podcast, I might not be able to stand my cube job. And so in one way, you're putting food on my family's table and gas in my truck. You guys are heroes.

I'm glad people are dropping some science on other worthwhile alternate universe stories! Gotham by Gaslight is a pretty solid Elseworlds. Didn't know it was the first, so, 'preciate the clue on that Kentucky!!!

Erin, myself and the Bad Kids have really been enjoying the calls on the skype line from all the listeners. We've got a solid lineup of calls slated for issue no.13, so be sure to get down with that one as well! Some special people called in, and we've definitely gotten a lot of feedback on Munsons grassroots campaign!

JLA:The Nail totally counts, dude! Maybe not the sequel so much, but what the hey!
I'd also like to toss out Fabian Nicieza and Kevin Maguire's JLA:Created Equal. That one's got Supes and Lex as the only males left on an Earth full of super-powered women or somesuch. Wonder Woman was psyched, "Oooh! Another Paradise Island! How groovy." Not that WW would say groovy.
Oh, and the Machine Man limited series back in the 80's was way cool. Rockin' artwork by Barry Windsor Smith, and quite possibly, Tom DeFalco's finest writing job!
But, I'm starting to go crazy here. What I wanna know, Kentucky, is if Alex Ross is drawing your proposed Kingdom Cum?

Great issue, dudes.
My thoughts: I LOVED "Gotham by Gaslight" when I was in high school. I just found out that it was technically the first Elseworlds title...who doesn't love them some Mignola?

Do "JLA:The Nail" and "JLA: Another Nail" count? They were decent. Not my faves but good reads.

And I definitely recommend "Red Son". Y'all mentioned it but seeing Bats go bats in that one is a joy.

But I'd have to say my favorite alternawhatsis is still "Kingdom Cum". Superman quits and gets a job in the porno industry. Or DOES he?

Wow - a very information-heavy issue, gents. I don't have too much to say since I haven't read any of these except Kingdom Come (and that was aaaaages ago, I should really read it again) - but I may need to check one or two of these out. Nicely done, I really enjoyed the flow with this one.

Oh, and the calls at the beginning? Classic. Mr. Munson, you're a trip.

Queen thanks for stoppin' through. We did get a good amount of commentary. Get down with the feedback via the jump! We also got a solid # of calls via the Skype line, which will air in Comicazi Issue No.13, so be sure to rock with us in about 2 weeks :)

No mention of Alan Moore's Captain Britain comics? He kicked off the Marvel Multiverse! The main Marvel universe Earth is #616, and there are thousands upon thousands more... The numbers are mentioned in various series including 1602 which you talked about.
Check out the list here:

okay okay all cool now.

-I wrote an essay in High School about Squadron Supreme. It was the first thing I asked for when I came into the store. Mark Gruenwald 4 life. His Cap stuff from back then is still my favorite.

-I always considered Son of the Demon as in continuity, but that's just me. It meshes well in my book.

-New Frontier is totally Elseworlds. Hourman dies in it! Liberty Files is excellent. I loves it.

-Last Avengers Story is great. Fucking Sad but made Hank Pym my favorite avenger. Best Line from that series:

Hawkeye: "That fall from the building...I can see again!"
Mockingbird: "Really?!"
Hawkeye: "Gotcha."
