I wonder if, by those standards, Lee will appear in FF2, seeing as the Fantastic Four as a whole were carried by Jack Kirby and Lee had very little input. Maybe. If you believe every interview Jack Kirby's ever conducted where he got to have a couple drinks beforehand.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it wasn't even Stan's call which movies he showed up in. Maybe he's got better relations with some directors over others. He doesn't reallly have any pull at Marvel anymore to force himself into movies, so maybe he's on a strick invite only kick. So I want to know why the directors for Blade, Elektra, and Ghost Rider didn't want Stan in their movie?

I'm not sure that I can subscribe to your theory that Stan is a hater because he didn't appear in the movies you said. Thom above was correct: he's only made cameos in movies featuring characters that he created.

Jacob- Yeah, he was in the Hulk movie. He was a security guard alongside Lou Ferrigno (TV Hulk).
Here's a list of the movies he's been in:

Was he in the Hulk? I don't remember him there? And Stan has long had an acknowledged desire to be a Hollywood screen writer. In the beginning of his career and even at his peak, he always saw comics as a place to bide his time until he could make the jump to Hollywood. I don't have a source on me about this, but I know for sure I read it in a biography about him. So, perhaps his appearing in some of these movies is just fullfillment of a long ago dream of being involved in the movies.

As for not appearing in others, give the guy a break. He's over 1,000 years old. I heard he broke Methuslah's record last year. Word on the street is that his longevity can be ascribed to the nibble of a radioactive tortoise.

If nothing else, I'd think schedule incompatibilities, plus his advanced age, would lead to him being in these flicks, but not those flicks.
