Bahlactus (n). (bə-LAK-təs). 1. A streetwise, urban anomaly in the comic book universe. 2. A phenomenon which devours all things Comics. 3. A Comics Entity with a compelling vibe charged with raising aesthetic awareness to the next level. 4. Every. Goddamn. Third. Monday. In. February. 5.Earth tastes a lot like cupcakes.
Bahlactus has spoken.

I was never really a Bishop fan for one reason: his super-perm.
I’m kidding. Maybe :)
(I’m so glad that they went for the fade and/or bald look for him.)
I gotta say, though, Whilce Portacio came correct with the art in that issue. The panel of Jean in Emma’s body using TK and freaking the baddies out was nice, but Bishop’s entrance was even better.

Dayum!!!! David Brothers pretty much summed up my entire thought process on good ol’ Bishop. From that funky hair style (what the f@#$???), to the marked in M on the right side of his face, that silly looking red scarfie thing in the front of the XSE uniform, to the silly rifle he sported. Whilce did do a good job on rendering Bishop as well as his pencilling run on the X-guys. You could see Whilce’s artistic progression during the run also. Depending on who drew him though, Bishop could look cool to looking like just another mutant from the future. After all of that, you would think that I didn’t like him. Not true. He was too cool.

I smell 90’s.
I like Bishop. He’s managed to outlive a lot of the other character that came out at the time.

Apparently in the future the mullet Jheri curl will be the hot hairstyle.
