[...] Death who’s coming to dinner?!? I mentioned in the latest ABSOLUTE GALACTUS post that I’d drop a panel or two from this issue. This page makes the whole joint worth reading. [...]

Holy Sh#@!!!! FRAGMENTS! This is one of my all-time favorite Galactus issues. Byrne so outdid himself in this story man. The moment in this issue with Reed and Sue at Franklin's hospital bed is one great Byrne moment too-- especially with the "what is a child" narration.
I've yet to come across a comic as EPIC as this issue. During JB's run on the FF4 I always had the feeling that I was witnessing marvel history in the making. Some other great things in this issue was that incredible two-page spread of Galactus looking out into the cosmos.

Then of course there is Nova. What's her real name again?? Frankie Raye! Sharon and Julie plus Byrne did a great dodging job of the FF break-up cliche. Scarlet Witch appears in there somewhere. And last but not least, a very incredible "aftermath" issue (although it still features some amazing events) which gives us something of a breather before launching into the Doom/Terrax and Trial of Reed Richards stories.

There's a panel in there where Death speaks to Galactus and says something along the lines of you are my husband and father, my brother and son. And Galactus in turn refers to Death as his sister, wife, daughter and mother. (I'm not sure in that order) But totally rocking issue. Great job man!!!!!
