I love it. I've got a couple of copies on dvd, including the set with the extras (including dual commentaries). Fantastic stuff.

The new flick, I expect, will be something altogether different, in many of the ways that count. Still, I can understand why they'd make some of the choices they did (despite the marketing reasons I've read about).

The sad thing is that I'm not looking forward to the movie as much as I'm hoping that the flick will inspire whoever has the DVD rights to the series to put out some new sets. When I finally had the money to afford the Rhino sets, they were gone from stores.

I don't expect the flick to do much for me, but I hope it makes more kids appreciate the greatness of giant, violent robots.

You are an EVIL man for getting this song suck in my head. Brings back so many memories though.

A couple of years ago Dylan had some surgery and afterwards was on couch duty for a weekend. I rented him this movie because I figured he'd like it. No kidding he watched it 6 times over the weekend and I watched it most of those times with him.

Those songs came back and drilled right into my skull. Too bad this new movie is going to have so many humans in it.
