SHOUT-OUT! The Falcon Week — Day 4

Oh Snap! Wilson week continues, with this third issue of The Falcon mini-series. What has really been interesting so far is the depth of the character story for Sam Wilson — he used to be a bad-guy, turned good guy, by a bad guy. When he was first revealed, none of that development was actually in place (Shout-Out! to commenter J. Kevin Carrier for the Comics clue on Falcon’s back story).
Imagine, if you could follow one character through every appearance they’ve had in Comics, who would it be? I am doing this exact thing with GALACTUS, and my insight into the character is growing more solid with each of his appearances that gets added to my collection.
The appreciation for the character over time is more significant when you are able to consider their entire life from their creation to present-day. Who do you want to know more about? Me? I am going to dig into Sam “Snap” Wilson — clearly someone attempted to get creative with the bad-guy-turned-good archetype (and that makes the character more appealing for me!) Bahlactus has spoken.

This is one of my favorite mini-series ever, and #4 is just nuts and completely perfect. One of my favorite scenes is from #2 (I think), in which Sam is shown having a busy day at the office where he works as a social worker. That for me just summed up the character.

Fantastic cover. i read most of the Falcon limited series but for some reason I think I completely missed this issue. I’ll have to hunt it up. They oughta release this series in trade or in digest form.

Probably Ben Grimm, but that would be such a daunting task between FF and Marvel Two-in-One that I would get overwhelmed! I’ll take the cehap way out instead and choose Aunt Petunia Grimm, who (I think) has had one one appearance, although plenty of mentions!

Bully, you could count up the number of times Ben has mentioned Sweet Aunt Petunia…
I’ve been thinking about getting down with a running score on how many times GALACTUS has claimed “I hunger“…
